A dog with 'good' energy, better concentration, that sleeps well and, wait for it, smells delicious. It would be like a L'Oreal ad, only with dogs. Well, you can have that dog.

Fleas, ticks and mites are disgusting. They suck up to our pets Ė taking blood, spreading disease, laying eggs, making new parasites by the thousand and leaving them all over the house. Immature fleas give our dogs tapeworm, too. No, fleas, ticks and mites are not a happy part of the dog landscape.
So you think you know what's in your dog's food? Here's the second extract from my new book Top Dog. Doing research for this book I read a lot of pet food labels, and I mean a lot! They don’t make it easy for you to choose the best food. The hyperbole on the front is practically meaningless, the colours are there for you, not the dog, and a high price is not necessarily an indicator of high quality.
Donít underestimate just how crucial a healthy diet will be to your dog and to you. What you feed her will help determine how long she lives, the state of her health while sheís alive and how long she will stay well. Remember, this crazy dog child of yours wonít ever grow up and leave home, and there is no NHS for our pets. So feed them well, keep their immune system strong and enjoy your bouncy, healthy dog for much longer. Youíll save money on vetís bills into the bargain. I guarantee it.
As autumn approaches, a lot of dog owners might find that their pets are itching more than usual. This is commonly due to Harvest Mites which are particularly active during the seasonal change. Harvest Mites, in their six-legged larval stage, feed on warm blooded animals, swarming as an infestation.
A year ago today you pitched up at my front door, all the way from Bulgaria on the front seat of a van (I've since found out it's because you don't 'do' back seats). I opened the door and there you were, bouncy, inquisitive, stressed beyond words, skinny, greasy, balding and, most importantly, mine. Quite literally you were my itchy dog.
