Note: Billy No Mates takes a few weeks to get up to full strength in your dog's system so won't clear out any current flea infestation. If your dog has fleas, mites or a tick problem you can get right of those immediately with our Skinny Dip shampoo and spray. Use the spray daily while the Billy is taking effect or when there's a particularly bad spate of harvest mites about.

Skinny dip and spray will relieve itching, soothe the skin, get rid of bugs, keep them away and promote skin healing and hair regrowth.

Too Soon to Tell

This is the first time I have used BNM and so only 3 stars because it is coming winter and I have only been giving it to the dog for a short time. I purchased the tincture and use a syringe to extract and measure to the correct dose. I will continue to use it throught the winter into next summer and evalue it further at that point.

Billy No Mates

We've only just stared using this but very happy so far as its good to find a natural alternative to Advocate that has had so many positive reviews. It could just be a coincidence (we haven't changed anything else) but since using it our dogs breath has started to smell a bit 'off'. I wondered if anyone else had noticed the same in their dogs and if so does it go back to normal (which to be honest isn't that great anyway 😂😂😂.

Hi Zara

Thanks for your review. I wouldn't have thought it would makes your dog's breath any worse. In fact, the mint and fenugreek should help your dog's gut a bit sweeter. Give us a call if you want a chat about it 01903 256373 Monday to Friday. It may be something really simple we can help fix.

Herbal flea repellent
Wednesday, 12 October 2016  |

I have 3 Jack Russell that are forever down rabbit holes and were picking up lodgers. The repellant works brilliantly. I've found the liquid to be more palatable for them and so much better than those topical skin repellents from vets which one was allergic to and caused rashes. The my itchy dog herbal has improved their coats and would have no hesitation recommending

along with Vermex and 3 monthly Wormcounts for worms and lungworm and so far so good. I also use the Neem shampoo weekly and Neem spray around his bum when we go on grassy walks. All fingers, toes and paws crossed this is enough as so glad not to be using Advocate again. thank you to this great website for all the advice and wonderful products.

Will keep trying
Sunday, 24 July 2016  |

I have been giving this to my dog for 3/4 weeks now, but we are still as inundated with fleas as ever. I resorted to a nasty Capstar tablet (she has had 6 now) they kill the fleas on her, but she is still covered. I have sprayed the house with indorex but they still live!! I will continue with the bottle in the hope it will get into her system and the fleas will not like her so much soon.

Hi Elaine, keep on with it!

Billy won't get rid of a current flea infestation, you need to treat them differently. The Billy takes up to 6 weeks to become fully effective. In the meantime you need to get rid of the fleas on the dog then spray daily with the Skinny Spray which I see you have too.

For every flea there are loads of eggs and larvae about. I would have though the Indorex would have done it, but the humid weather is not helping you right now. Keep up with the cleaning and spraying and hopefully by the time the weather cools down you'll be sorted.

Hi Sandra

The Billy takes up to six weeks to become properly effective. It will repel fleas, ticks and mites, but if your dog has fleas simply introducing Billy won't get rid of a current batch of fleas.

You need to get rid of what you have, start on the Billy and overlap with a conventional flea treatment until it kicks in. Once it's done that you shouldn't have a problem any longer.

Use Skinny shampoo and/or spray to get rid of fleas you alread have. Give me a call if you have any questions. Kate x

Glad I'm not taking it
Sunday, 12 June 2016  |

Aren't all the things that are good meant to taste bad? My Cavalier thinks so anyway. He's not too fond of the taste but it goes down with a syringe or when I have some, some fleshly made pate covers the taste

No ticks on him, after a holiday in the country, so it's doing its job 👍🏻

A winner with fussy eaters!
Tuesday, 7 June 2016  |

If you struggle to get your dog to take tablets, liquids, powders or any sort of 'edible treatment', this might be one to try. I have an 8 year-old dog who stubbornly resists any attempt to administer treatment, no matter what tasty delicacy it is dressed up in! Soft cheese, chicken, ham, meat paste, peanut butter...you name it, he spat it out! We have tried every trick but to no avail.
We bought the Billy No Mates tincture with very low expectations but, miracle of all mircales, he eats it with not the slightest hesitation. Each evening, I will sprinkle the small quantity of tincture on top of his usual meal and he eats it with no trauma, no fuss, no more 'what is this imposter in my food?' looks.
As for effectiveness, all I can say is that he is happy, he is fcreepy-crawly-free and I know I am giving him something safe, non toxic and hopefully protective.

Thanks for the review, Valerie. We do say that if you have a fussy dog or cat then the Billy No Mates Tincture is the one to go for out of the two. So glad it's going down well.
